Privacy Policy — Chip Master
Last updated: April 23, 2026
Overview
Chip Master is a poker coaching and tracking app designed to help you improve your game. We take your privacy seriously and collect only the data needed to provide the app's features. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties beyond the service providers essential to the app's operation.
What we collect
Account and subscription data — When you subscribe, Apple processes your payment through the App Store. We receive subscription status (active, expired, in trial) via our payment processor RevenueCat, but we never receive your payment details, credit card information, or Apple ID.
Hand and session data — Any poker hands, sessions, bankroll entries, drills, or training activities you log within the app. This includes: hole cards, board cards, actions taken, stakes, dates, win/loss amounts, notes you add, and time spent playing. This data is used to generate your stats, charts, and AI analysis.
AI analysis requests — When you request AI analysis of a hand, the hand data (cards, actions, positions, amounts) is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate coaching feedback. The hand data is anonymised — it is not linked to your identity, just to your anonymous user ID.
Anonymous user identifier — A random user ID generated on your device when you first open the app. This allows us to sync your data across app restarts and identify your subscription status. It is not linked to your name, email, or any personal identifier.
Onboarding preferences — The preferences you set during onboarding (skill level, goals, preferred game format) to personalise the app experience. This data is stored locally on your device and/or associated with your anonymous user ID.
